Hello to all of you,

I haven’t been on the forums for a few weeks and I’ve lost track of where everyone is and I’m not sure that I will be able to.

So hi to anyone who is new and to my cyber friends especially JaneRa,Dawn,Debs and Deirdre… I have been thinking of you all.

I am now in my second cyle of chemo and so far so good.
I have reduced steriod in take so not so manic now and also pain relief is being reduced.
I am sleeping better now and the weight gain has slowed down I am pleased to say.

I had a red mark on my shoulder some of you may recall me posting about…
When I saw my oncologist she thought I had a blood clot!!!
I had a scan done and there was evidence of a clot but nolonger there I am pleased to report so I don’t need any treatment for that.
I am so pleased my nurses and GP picked up on this!

Rob and I had a few days away on our own, my Dad had the kids.
It was lovely to get away from everything.

The wedding that I was so looking forward was last weekend and it was as good as I thought it would be.
Emily was a superstar and Rob was great and with a short well rehursed speach I was a very proud lady.

I am pleased to say I didn’t get to emotional which was a bit of a worry and I didn’t last till the evening do but that was fine the room was comfy and Emily bought me up food and sat with me which was lovely.

Best wishes to you all

Hi Tess,
welcome back lovely to see you posting again I have missed you.
Really pleased you managed to get away and that you had a good time these moments are soooooo important to us. Who’s was the wedding? Was it yours? sorry I can’t remember must be all that sleeping I am doing.
A million congratulations if it was yours.
Love Debsxxx

Tess, glad to hear you have had a break and made it to the wedding. With OH as best man not surprised it went well  Did you ever go back and buy the monsoon outfit?

You sound as if you have been getting some better days lately. It’s amazing how we can become grateful for just a few days like it! It is the protracted pain that leaves you so drained and almost as if you want to shut yourself away from people because it takes too much effort. I was quite fed up this morning that I had to ask hubby to take me to the hairdressers cos I hadnt the energy to drive into town. But a girl has to do what a girl has to do:) and hair should not be neglected. (Am I just boasting that I have hair?)

Hi Tess

Lovely to see you posting again and to hear that you’ve had a good few days away. Hope you did get that monsoon outfit for the wedding - or found something else that made you feel great.

Hi Tess

It’s nice to hear that you had a lovely weekend with your partner and a wee break from the kids. It’s does us all the world of good doesn’t it.

I baked chocolate brownies and bread and butter pudding with the kids this weekend - they were both disasters! I’ve just chucked the brownies in the bin, will try again later. Mind you it’s not a bad thing if they’d been good I’d have just stuffed myself and added anther couple of pound to my ever growing waistband.

Hi All,

The wedding was a friends and it was a lovely day, reminded me of ours which we have just celebrated our 12th year.
Everything went so well for me it was a day that I had been looking forward to for a while and I wasn’t disapointed.
I think at the end of the day the important thing was that I was with Rob and Emily.

I didn’t buy the origional dress I had from Monsoon (which the model on the magazine Prima Oct issue is wearing)but a different one which I love and all the accessories to go with it!!
The pressure is now on hubby to take me out somewhere so I can wear the dress again!!!

I am going to try and change my avator piccy!

Dawn great to hear that not only you have have hair but you your being pampered to…I’m sure your hubby doesn’t mind being chauffer.
Mine now doesn’t have a choice!!!(its great for me…I used to drive everywhere)!!

Debs sorry to hear that your a bit of a sleeping beauty.

Tess

Hi Tess,
Glad to hear you had a good time and made it through most of the big day. These ‘momentous’ events become even more significant and full of importance and poignancy, don’t they? It was my Brother’s wedding in July and, when they got engaged and decided to wait two years before marrying I was gutted and thought I wouldn’t be there to see it. It was such a special day and like you say, so important to just ‘be there’ with the family.
You both look gorgeous by the way
