Microblading advise

Hi all just wanted to know what the consensus is for how long prior to starting chemo that you can have your eyebrows microbladed.. I asked a beauty clinic and they said 6m but I’m sure it’s not that long prior to chemo.. just wondering if anyone had them done before starting for the first time .

Thanks

No I don’t think it would be six months, but the brows have to be completely healed. I’d say a month??? However, I would advise you to run it by your BCN before you do it. I found out about it too late. If you can’t have it done, I have used Wonderbrow throughout treatment and it has been brilliant. x

I’ve not heard of wonderbrow? I will have a look thank you @Jaygo

I had my eyebrows micro bladed on the 26th (10 days ago) and had my first EC chemotherapy today. I checked with my consultant before hand who said it was fine to do as long as it was before I started the chemotherapy x

Hi I had my brows micro bladed about 2 weeks before chemo started. I was quite lucky in that bizarrely I didn’t lose my eyebrows or eyelashes. I have finished all my treatment now and have just booked to have my top up done as I didn’t need it during treatment but it was included in the price. Just in case you don’t get it done there’s a brilliant new product by L’Oréal Paris infallible faux brow which allows you to draw fine hairs! Also if you ask your BCN to give you details of a look good feel better course which has some really useful tips and tricks and lots of free goodies too. Good luck with your treatment x

Perfect! Thanks you I’m booked for Tuesday !! Hope your treatment goes well. X

I was surprised at how much I like mine - I’m not a big girly girl. The first few days-week they were darker than I expect but the MUA who did them explained that it is normal. I can go back for a top up after the chemotherapy as well which I will definitely do. Just ask for numbing cream if they don’t automatically put it on xx
