Has anyone heard of minoxidil to help with hair loss during chemo? I have found a small study that claimed it slowed down the loss rate and speeded up regrowth for some people on a trial, but it’s never been mentioned to me. My chemo nurses did a good job of putting me off the cold cap but now I’ve had to cut my hair really short and look like Simon Cowell, I’d be willing to try anything.

havn’t heard of it but I googled it and not sure wether I’d try it during chemo/radiotherapy as some reports state not to be used until after all treatment is completed.It does appear to hasten hair growth after treatment.I’ve used cold cap and managed to cope without wig-hair thinned and some loss on top of scalp but everyone assured me it wasn’t that noticable-I thought cold cap well worth it and would recommend it.
