just found a lump in my breast really scared as my mom died in Feb this year with secondary cancer so scared

I’m really sorry to read you’re having such a tough and difficult time at them moment.  I’m sure some of the other users will be along soon to offer you their experience and support.

In the meantime it might be helpful for you to give the BCC helpline a call.  Here you will be able to talk through how you are feeling with someone who will offer you a listening ear as well as emotional support and practical information .  The lines will be open again on Monday at 9am and are open weekdays 9 to 5pm and Saturday 10 to 2pm.

I’m so sorry to hear about your mum, and that you have now found a lump yourself. You must be  terrified. Have you made an appointment to see your GP and get a referral to the breast clinic? This is the best way, get things started as quickly as possibe. It may not be cancer, but at least you will know. And if it is, you can get started on treatment as soon as possible. Please do not Google, just use this site and the Macmillan site. Much of what you find on google is either out of date or just wrong. Everyone on this site would tell you the same. I’m sending you hugs and best wishes, hope to hear soon that you have been to GP and have been referred.

No wonder you’re feeling so scared. It’s scary enough finding a lump without the fact of your Mum having died of secondary bc. Poemsgalore has given you very good advice so I’ll just send you some (((hugs)))
