Morning Ladies

 

Advice please, I have really painful mouth ulcers particularly a large area on the end of my tongue which makes speaking and eating difficult, I also feel like I’m dribbling like a baby ! 

What is the best treatment to use?  I have tried the usual Bonjela and Iglu over the counter treatments but am not getting much relief.

Tell your consultant, or ask your GP. It sounds to me as though you might have oral thrush, they can give you Nystatin to put on your tongue to cure it. I got it regularly so they gave me fluconazole capsules which I took all through chemo to keep it at bay.

Thank you both, have spoken to gp who has given me a prescription for gelclair and nystatin…xxxx

Maryland…your right gelclair tastes disgusting hope it works !! xx

I used to get one on the same part of my tongue after each chemo session - rinsing with salt water helped.
