Hi all, I had a mastectomy 2 years ago as had BC in right breast. I have had MRI check ups last two years due to dense breast tissue and I have multiple cysts all the time ( my cancer didn’t show on a mammogram) Just had my second year MRI routine check ( on the remaining breast) and I’ve been called back for an ultrasound as they’ve seen something 6mm that needs further investigation.Stated they could see multiple cysts which is normal for me. Naturally I’ve gone into full Panic mode and wondered if this is common for a call back and if anyone else has had this? I always have cysts but assume they can tell the difference on an mri between cyst and a potential cancerous form?? Thanks in advance.

Hi @karyno i don’t know the answers to your questions, sorry. Hopefully someone else will be able to shed some light for you soon though. I think it’s fair to say that anyone getting a call back would be panicked though especially once you are on this rollercoaster. I hope the hospital can get you an appointment quickly though so you don’t have too long worrying.

Thankyou for responding. Yes it’s only natural to feel anxious isn’t it and I’ve been through this before so prepared somewhat. Another ‘Karyn’ I don’t see our name often. Thank you again for your reply xx
