Has anyone had one of these and, if so, please can you let me know where. Not sure if you can post publicly about areas and if not, please send me a private message. I’ve been told the wait for the nearest one to me is 4 weeks and don’t want to wait that long. This is following an MRI which has picked up some abnormality in my right breast. I am already due to have surgery this Friday on an invasive ductal carcinoma in my left breast.

Do not know if this is any help to you.
I was booked for one. But I never had it done in the end as I could not wait any longer for surgery as I was very anxious. I went for a masectomy and it was the right choice in the end.
There are not many places in scotland that are equipped to do this scan. I would have to have travelled to Aberdeen nhs hospital.
All I can say is I had many scans and repeated biopsies before surgery and it was afew months before I eventually had surgery. But I was always told it would not make any difference to outcome.
I also had to wait longer for chemotherapy to start as I had an infection after.
I know it does help them to know as much as possible before surgery to make the correct choices for you in the end.
It is hard all the waiting. I will be thinking of you.
