MRI Scan, what sort of things showed up other than cancer?

I had a full body MRI on Monday and I understand it will show up many other things other than cancer.
Has anyone had to have any treatment etc for things that have shown up i.e kidney or gallstones or anything else?

Hi Hazel, mine only showed a small cyst on liver that consultant says needs no treatment. did show some indeterminate lung nodules which need to be rescanned in 6 months… fingers crossed that they are nothing to be concerned about.

Hi,Hazel I’m replying to your post to try and put your mind at ease ,know it isn’t easy.I was diagnosed with BC on the 6th March,my bloods showed a slight incline so they cancelled my op.I had a liver,lung and bone scan,liver and lung were clear but bone wasn’t so had an MRI scan last week results yesterday wear and tear on t7 .Waiting for results is horrible,the last month has been a nightmare but it isn’t always bad news.Getting my op on Monday. My scan showed up diverticular disease. i have had no symptoms from it, but this gave me a good heads up to watch my diet. I consider that good news.

My last MRI also showed diverticular disease but as I have no symptoms, no treatment is needed. I know now it is something I will need to keep an eye on so was grateful for the heads up.

My showed a fatty liver!!! Nothing to be concerned about but I have checked my diet :slight_smile:
