sorry it seems i missed this message, starting chemo on wed 20th feb 4x epi then 4 x cmf, then rads not been told how many yet, then herceptin 12mths and tax 5 yrs as er + and pr +.
When do see your oncologist ?
feeling a bit down just had my loverly hair cut was half way down my back, now i look like a boy had it cut really short so the kids could get used to it before it falls out but now regreting it.
Never mind it will grow again!!!

Good luck for Weds I will be thinking of you. I see my surgeon on that day to find out what is being planned for me, got the results of mast last week and know that they got clear margins so that was a relief.
I do sympathise with you about the hair mine is quite long and I am dreading losing it. Like you say it will grow back and it maybe even better than before. If it means we are going to be around to enjoy our kids it will be worth it!

Glad you are getting used to your hair, have you looked on Ebayfor wigs, I know it sounds strange but several ladies have said that they have got their from there. I dont know if Im a wig person I think I will be more scarves and bandanas, good site is headcovers they do wigs and even eyebrows!!! I hadnt even thought of that had you? I keep putting off doing anything until I’ve had my appointment on Weds.
Maybe we will be able to afford good holidays from all the money we save on shampoo!

Got my plan now having 6 FEC on a 3 week cycle and start 29th Feb, how are you doing? Not heard anything from you or maybe just missing each other again. Hope all went well with your first treatment.

1 st treatment went ok was feeling sick for a couple of days seem to be over it now,
Yes i have started to get used to my hair, a bit easier to manage now, just wondfering when it will fall out.
going to get wig this week.
Hope all goes well on 29th for your first treatment, i felt a bit weepy but the actual treatment was not as bad as i thought and the nurses were great.

Thank you soo much for your comments really helping. Decided not to have hair cut because Im 46 will probably never grow it long again so b****er it I am going to wait for it to start falling out and then shave it, I will probably regret it but so what!!!
Glad things seem to have gone ok for you, Im feeling weepy already. Why do we all have different chemos when we have similar dx?
