My 71 year old mum was diagnosed with breast cancer that had spread to her nodes January this year. She had a lumpectomy and then was sent for a body scan. We were told she had mets in both lungs so was only offering pallative care. Then two weeks ago the doctor has turned round and tolICUs because mets nodules have not grown he’s sure it’s not cancer in her lungs. We are left delighted but a little concerned that we were told in march she was terminal, to which all the family were devastated let alone my mum. Has this happened to anyone else? Also she has been left all year with no follow up treatment from the lumpectomy, and am now wondering could this have made her situation worse?
