Mum!

Well mum has her last rads on Monday, and apart from the Letrozole which she will be taking for a few years, her treatment is finished. It feels quite surreal, but a relief that things hopefully will get back to normal soon. She has been very tired with the rads, but I have been told that is normal. She will have a mammogram in January so at least we can have a nice Christmas without waiting for results etc.

Thank you again for all your support. I have had a lot of support from a lot of you on here and formed some great friendships on facebook. Some that have lead to meeting up. So thank you again for being so supportive.

Hi Jules

Gosh that has gone quick ! it may not seem it for you and your family though. I am so glad mum is out the other side but you may find that the tiredness becomes worse in about 2 weeks. Has she been okay on the accelerated dose?

HI Liz

Yes it does seem a very long year!!! I got a bit muddled up with her rads. What she had was some days extra and some days normal. In other words some days 3 hits to the spot and some days only 1. But she seems ok, but I know shes been terribly tired and has not been able to do too much without falling asleep!!

Hi there I will pass on your good wishes too mum, thank you.

Sorry we keep missing each other, we must catch up soon. I am ok, I have my colonoscopy on 14th October, and my pre assessment next Thursday as its being done under a general. I am relieved as don’t want to be awake as heard its painful and embarassing! I am not thinking about it and trying to be positive. thank you for asking.

Hows you arm now and did you have a lovely birthday.

As you know I posted earlier in this week about my mum being on the mend. I have decided I don’t really need to be on here anymore as hopefully mum is going to continue to get better.

I just want to say thank you to all of the lovely friends I have made on here. You have been a great support and I shall continue to enjoy our chats on facebook.

Goodbye and good luck.

Jules.

Good luck Jules and give my best wishes to your mum

Hi Jules

Its been a while since we spoke. I havent been on here for weeks. Brilliant about your Mum. My Mum finished hers too. She coped really well with it.
The tablets were a nightmare for her at first but now she has got them under control. She is a picture of health now and has moved in a few houses away from us.

I just hope it stays away. After the relief of coming through all this I got very tired - body and mind needing to recoperate I think!

Wishing you and your family all the best
Love Suzy xx
