Mum's List

I have just finished reading Mum’s List which is a book written by Singe Greene, the husband of a lady called Kate who died from breast cancer aged just 38. She left two young sons and before she died she made a list of things she wanted her husband to do with the children after her death and just reminders of things that she liked.
Far from it being a scary cancer story it was a beautifully written true love story. Singe and Kate met when Kate was just 14 and their deep love for eachother was evident throughout the book. They travelled the world together before having children and created more memories than most people have in a long lifetime let alone one that was cut so short.
I read the book in one day and cried throughout. I would urge everyone to read it and to make a list as well just so that our loved ones know more about us when we go no matter when that may be.

I saw this family on This Morning last week. A lovely man with two lovely children. I have ordered the book.

If you want another brilliant book may I suggest The C word from Lisa Lynch. I was following lIsa’s blog before it was made into a book. I am not as young as Lisa but still, reading it was like looking into a mirror. Brillianly written. Unfortunately Lisa’s cancer has now spread to the brain, still she is fighting.

I’ve read that too and I read her blog. Such a shame about her cancer spreading tho
