Dont really know what to say other then as the subject header reads. Im just a bit numb today. I knew this lady as a mum from school but then we were both diagnosed with bc within a few months of each other - just 2 years ago. Yesterday I learnt that she died in hospital yesterday, Im not sure of details yet but believe it could have been a chest infection (she had lung mets). I was only speaking to her 2 weeks ago at school and although we all knew about the mets which she was being teated for, and it just seems so unreal that now she wont be there when we go back next week.
have never lost anyone of such a young age before (44 i think) and finding it just a bit sureal really. Lifes not fair is it.
To my friend Aly, you fought a brave fight, you lost the battle way too soon, hope you are at peace now.
Love Vanessa. xxx
I know how you’re feeling. Last Friday I attended the funeral of a friend of mine who died from cancer of the oesophaegus aged 46. There isn’t much that can make you feel better except to know that they are beyond suffering.
sending love to Vanessa and Elsk, it is so hard to lose a friend, and at such young ages…heartbreaking
condolences to family and friends and love to you both

Deepest sympathy to you and your friends family. We lost my daughters best friend aged 20 to cancer three years ago,and i still cant believe she has gone.it is so sad.
Sorry to hear Ness, really am. I know you’ll be feeling terrible and shocked for your friend and her family.
I think experience of loosing someone you know and with whom you may draw comparasons with, centralises our own fears for ourselves and families, especially when things seem so unexpected and despite someone being very unwell.
Sincere condolences to you and your friend’s family.
Hugs n Love.
