My lovely friend has died, I’ve known her since I was 5 years old and she was such a gorgeous bubbly person and I can’t believe she’s gone. She was diagnosed 16 years ago and had various things over the years, then last year it was found in her lungs liver and bones, this is the same time that I was diagnosed, so we went through chemo together and she helped me so so so much with her positive attitude and fighting spirit and just being such a lovely person. This disease is horrible and takes away the best best women from the world. Horrible and scary.
Sorry to hear about your friend and you are right to say this disease is the pits, it evokes many emotions.
Just got back from chemo and asked about a lovely lady who had chemo with me in Feb to May this year she was one of the nurses cousins sadly she died on Sunday. My heart sank and her cousin said I will always remember the 2 of you laughing your heads off and putting other patients at ease. We were oly friends for a short time and I am in no way comparing this to your loss, I suppose what I am trying to say is that in life we are so very lucky when we a true friend, be it for years or months.

I attended the funeral of a friend who died from bc (used to use this board) on Monday. I found it hard to believe she had gone but the funeral was therapeutic. I can accept it now. I visited her grave today, told her all the gossip…

Hannah I am so very sorry to hear about your friend. It is awful. I lost my best friend to ovarian cancer in 1999, and still want to speak to her. She is never far from my thoughts and your friend will live on in you as well.

Thank you all so so much for your lovely comments, they’ve really helped me loads. She was such a lovely, warm, inspirational woman and I’ll miss her so much. The funeral is on Wednesday and I think that will help for me to say goodbye again.
