my mum just diagnosed yesterday with breast cancer. It was the worst day ever for me .It was such a pain to wait for the results and when they confirmed it was bc. there is no way to describe how I feel.but I know I have to be strong for her, the question is the scan showed tumor is nearly 2cm and armpits looks clear. they say it looks early stage but still waiting for the biopsi results for next week. any idea if biopsi results would show anything diffeent …

Hi Helin,
Sorry to hear the news about your mum. My mum was diagnosed at the end of March and has already had her mx and is well on the mend. As a result of mum getting it I checked myself and also found a lump, this has also been confirmed as BC and today I get my op date. I was more or less told the day of my biopsy that it was BC. With mum having it I have been so worried about her rather than myself whereas she is the other way round, blaming herself for mine. But docs have told her she isn’t to blame as she is older, 68.
The wiating is horrendous for everyone concerned because you are dealing with the unknown. Once things start moving they move quick as they have strict guidleines to follow.
Thinking of you and your mum.

Hi there,
The biopsy may give some more details, but you have to remember it only really gives a few snapshots, so you probably won’t really get the full picture until they have removed the lump and examined it microscopically. Are they going to do a sentinel node biopsy as well?
Good luck with it all, regardless! xxx
