I simply had to share how I am feeling at the mo as I cannot stop smiling!!
You see today was my first visit to the hairdressers in a year.
I have had my hair coloured a lovely brown with a hint of copper as I couldn’t stand seeing that grey anymore.
My curls were that tight that I even had to have the straighteners on it!!!
I will probably get up in the morning and it will not look anything like it does today, but I don’t care, it is just a lovely feeling that I don’t have to cover the grey anymore.
I actually feel “normal” again and it feels great.
I wish you all well and hope you all feel the same when it is your turn.
I finished Tax end Sept. and my hair is like downy duck!, very fine, thin, curly! and GREY. Its hopefully going to get better, and I look forward to getting to where you are.
How exciting! That sounds great, must be fantastic to visit the hairdresser again! How long after chemo have you left it to have it coloured? I can’t wait!
I am in the same position as you Anne, downy, soft, really nice to touch but still short, grey and curly… Seems to be growing painfully slow, but I’m actually looking forward to having some curls for a while.
You must be so pleased. I finished tax Sept 14 and now have very short dark hair, with more grey than I had before. Too early to tell yet whether I will need to colour it. I’m wondering how long before I can dispense with the scarves - I am so fed up with them, I just want my hair back!
It’s growing so slowly - I have seen someone say that herceptin makes it grow slower? I’m hoping for a decent head of hair for when we go on holiday in the February half term
That’s great news - I can’t wait to get to the same stage as you. Right now my hair has just started coming through and it’s very soft and brown (which was my previous colour) can’t wait for it to grow to a length where I don’t need to wear my wig anymore!
What fantastic news. I am so jealous! My last tax was at the end of October and all I have is a little itchy fuzz which looks as if it may be the same blonde it was when it departed. I was hoping for curly but who knows.
Thanks for an encouraging message. Enjoy Christmas!
