Favourite song ever - I am what I am by Gloria Gaynor. Everytime I rowed with my mum I stormed into my bedroom and played it full blast…I got all the etiquette rubbish from her - even my laugh was wrong “witches cackle, ladies merely titter”. Still love it - don’t care it’s a gay iconic song! I am, after all, my own special creation (Mum has given up!).
I have lots of favourites, but the one that always puts me in a good mood is Rock DJ. I got the chance to meet Mr Williams whilst this was in the charts and he is a really nice, charming man who is actually very sensitive too (and blooming gorgeous to boot!). This always reminds me of him and cheers me up whatever my mood!
A Whiter Shade of Pale - Procol Harum - reminds me of a very wild era of my life!!
I’ve got loads of fave feel good songs, but, I love Build me up Buttercup, The Foundations, it always makes me feel good when i hear it.
I said that my favourite song at the moment is lollypop by Mika
But one of my all time favourite song would have to be Wildboys by Duran Duran. Yep!..i fell head over heels for Simon LeBon in the 80’s and thought he looked great.
Big girls are beautiful by Mika (specially as Im eating so much at mo!)
Norman Cook for Spacious Lies (a girly song of ours)
Youv’e got the love (Candy Stacon), which they play on the end of the SATC series
I could go on and on
Hey Jude, The Beatles
and I’m not even sure why, but it’s been my favourite song since the first time I heard it, in 1968
Is there room for another few hundred?

Add as many as you like:-) It is good to read what songs mean to people
It varies really with the years, but one which always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up is :
‘God Only Knows’ by The Beach Boys.
“More” by The Sisters of Mercy. Fantastic lyrics - and even better when the volume is turned up to its highest! (“Some people get by with a little understanding, some people get by with a whole lot more. I don’t know why you’ve got to be so undemanding. One thing I know, I want more. And I need all the love I can get. And I need all the love that I can’t get too”).

“Irene Wilde” by Ian Hunter. It always breaks my heart when I listen to it - and I do like to cry sometimes! “Read 'em and Weep” is his latest equivalent. I could go on - “Michael Picasso”, “Dead Man Walkin’”, “23A Swan Hill” - and on and on - but I mostly love anything by Ian Hunter.
I’m afraid I don’t really have favorites - I love alot of different songs for different reasons!
The live version of Parisian Walkways by Gary Moore-gives me goose bumbs!
Any thing by T-rex, just makes me feel happy and my youngest son (4) can never remember what they’re called so asks if we can have the dinosuar band on! Oh, and a bit of Elvis when Ive had a drink!!
The Whole of the Moon by the Waterboys fantastic song! I am a ’ half full’ person check it out.

Just thought of another good song that brings back memories!!
Paradise by the dashboard lights by Meat Loaf - When i was going through my stroppy teenage stage, i would put this on in my bedroon, full blast. My mum and dad would know i wouldn’t be in a talkative mood when playing the song.
Don’t Stop Me Now - am having such a good time, having a ball-- Queen- my anthem at the moment
From This Moment -Shania Twain -song I walked up the aisle to last Oct at my wedding.
Maryfrod its mine too!
I also love From this Moment too! Wish I could find someone to walk up the aisle!
When we came back down we had Signed,Sealed Delivered -i’m yours by Stevie Wonder
Thats lovely!
