I am getting really fed up with almost constant nausea and every 7 to 10 days I vomit despite taking stemitil . I know when I awaken its going to be a vomit day and after I have been sick I feel OK. I suppose it is something I will have to put up with as the meds don’t work . I know it is a side effect of Arimidex, Has anyone else had this? I’ve been on Arimidex for 11 months now.
no, but i’ve only been on arimidex for two months.Is it any better if you take it ata different time of day, say at night just before you go to bed?
My onc said the best time to take it to help prevent any side effects was at night with a glass of milk.
I have been on Tamoxifen for the past year. Not only do I get aching joints (always my hands and feet, sometimes elsewhere), but I have actually been to my GP for the constant nausea I suffer (similar to pregnancy nausea). I, too, was prescribed Stemetil, but it made me feel like a zombie! I have a 9-5.30 job to do, and to feel spaced out isn’t an option. And even if I wasn’t working, I wouldn’t want to feel spaced out!
I have tried taking Tamoxifen at various times of the day and it doesn’t seem to make any difference, for me anyway.
I am having reconstructive surgery over Christmas and was hopeful that I might be told to not take Tamoxifen for, say, 2 weeks leading up to the op, just to see if it made any difference, but I have been told that it is safe to continue taking it.
Thanks I will try taking at night but | can’t stand the idea of milk but might try it with Horlics or Ovaltine or cocoa.
