nausea and vomiting

diagnosed grade 3 aggressive 8 weeks ago, had wide local exciscion and sentinal node removal 6 weeks ago. start chemo in 2 weeks but for last 3 weeks suffering horrendous nausea and vomiting. BC nurse says she thinks its due to what ive been through in last few weeks but i’m finding this really hard to cope with. have lost a stone in weight and totally lost appetite. i do make myself eat so i know it’s not due to an empty tummy why i feel so crappy but i’m finding it very hard to deal with the longer it goes on. i’m just constantly nauseaus and the vomiting just comeout of nowhere at any time…hellppppppppp x

Dear Joloz1,
I cant help thinking you need to see a doctor, because even if your nausea and vomiting is caused by the emotional shock (and that would be natural) you can still be given something to treat it.
At this time it`s quite easy to get confused over what causes what and who treats what. My advice is definitely see a doctor. Apart from anything you cant start chemo feeling like this!!!
Love,
Mimsy

Hi Joloz1
I have also been the same as you I had my WLE and SN on other 23rd of Nov and from the minute I woke from my op I was vomiting and had terrible nausea, the vomiting got better but every day since except last Sunday I have had nausea, its so bad that I have to lie down, sleep gives me relief but as soon as I awake it’s back, I spoke to my BC nurse she told me to go to the dr’s for a review of my painkilllers which she did switch around, but to be honest I stopped them all because I thought it was the problem, but still the nausea comes, my GP also thinks that it is stress related I have stuff going on in the family! And also coming off my HRT, I don’t know! Had a cry this morning I thought ok just let it all out maybe that’s what I need,
I worry as I get my results on Friday and god help me if I have to have chemo because I don’t think I will be able to cope if the nausea gets any worse, so you are in my thoughts as I know what you are feeling xx
