Hi Katie Sian
Are Wockhardt and APS ones you have tried already? I prefer Wockhardt and have not had many problems, although I know some women don’t find they get on with it. Hope you find one that suits.

I’m in the same boat. My supply of Nolvadex D ran out four and a half weeks ago.
I telephoned my BCN who told me to go back on the the generic Tamoxifen, she said that it may not affect me like it did the first time. Like you I had really bad SE’s on it. Anyway I tried it and the SE’s were just the same so I stopped taking it.
I’ve got an appointment next Wednesday to see the onc. I’m going to discuss it with him then and see what he can suggest.
It’s such a shame because I was so well on Nolvadex D.
I unfortunately can not remember the name of the generic ones I took a while back. I’m seeing my oncologist next week but when I asked him over the phone he said he didn’t have a clue!!! Hopefully he’ll research more into it
I’ve been on Wockhardt for almost a year - very few if any side effects…i always ask the pharmacist which brand they have before handing over my prescription
Once my pharmacist ran out of Nolvadex I tried both APS and Wockhardt. The APS is bettter for me and they keep that brand in stock for me. It seems to be very individual so it might be best to try them out and then decide.
If it’s any help? - I have been on APS for about 4 months now; and not had any side effects! - also coping very well with the herceptin; so all good! - wishing all the ladies that are in the same situation all the best! xxx
Hi,
this is a really drastic solution but if you were through the menopause you would be moved to an aromatase inhibitor. Ladies I know who cannot have tamoxifen due to prior medical issues like clots are given monthly injections by their GP(then 3 monthly)to shut off the ovaries and have femara intead of tamoxifen. You can also have rads on your ovaries to shut them down (I believe it was done in a week, maybe 3 visits).Having said that some people are worse on the Ais. I have found them much better for me. I hope this is helpful, just one more final option that might be open to you if really feel unable to have x more years on tamoxifen and a lot safer than taking nothing.

Thanks all for the messages x
Lily I have tried the injections to shut down my ovaries but it made me evil!!! Don’t think my body is ready for the menopause yet
Hi,
well I wouldn’t want to launch an evil Katie on the world lol. My chemist said you can still get nolvadex- d from Spanish sources. A lady on here offered to send me hers as she could still get it in another country. Might be worth checking but be careful of the source
