Hi,

I’m just wondering if anyone else has had my problem, I finished my last chemo 4 weeks ago and meet with my surgeon this week to discuss op planned for Tuesday but now he isn’t happy with my other breast i’ve got a ultrasound and mammogram booked for Tuesday but i cant help but think the worse, i just wondered if anyone has had a problem like this.

Hi. I’m not in your position, but…my surgeon is always mega cautious and gave me a full body bone scan and ct scan the day before my surgery, “just so there’s no surprises”. I hope that your case your surgeon is just being over cautious and thorough. Good luck.x

Please I did your help!!! On Tuesday I start radiotherapy and I have to give tell my doctor if I want radiotherapy on my armpit, but I’m really really worry about lymphoedemia. I read so much about, I also work in nursery nurse and if I will have lymphoedemia that’s mean that I can’t lift babies! I’m just 28 years old and I don’t want to live with swollen arm!
please, help me make desition!!!

Hi Ania,
I am sorry I don’t have experience of radiotherapy to help you make your decision, but will suggest two things.
First, you could phone the Helpline on Monday-they are very friendly and helpful and well informed.
Secondly, I think people may find it hard to see your question under this non specific heading, so I hope you don’t mind but I am going to write another post with the title Radiotherapy to armpit-advice needed please! I hope that helps you to get more replies.

Excuse me Lolley for using up so much of your thread. Sorry!
I hope your surgeon is just being ultra careful and that you get good results, and can get on with the op. Do the tests booked for Tuesday mean your surgery is bumped back to planning? At least it is getting nearer to Tuesday, waiting is worse than not knowing what they are on about, in my experience.
