Need to know what is next?

Hi all…I found a lump in my rt breast well over a month ago. It was really close to my breastbone, so I debated getting it checked for quite a while. I finally went in…my GYN felt it with no issues, and told me he was sending me for a mammo and ultrasound. I had both tests, and the doctors there and all of the techs could feel the lump, but couldn’t see it on either test. It was concluded that whatever it was, it wasn’t calcified and it wasn’t a cyst. They also found an enlarged lymph node in the same breast, but at the imaging center, they didn’t tell me what the measurements were. My GYN told me at my original appointment that regardless of what the tests say, he wants it removed. I don’t have a high risk of breast cancer that I know of…I did for ovarian cancer, and got a hysterectomy to clear my worries about that. Can anyone tell me what the next step is? Do they typically do a needle biopsy before they remove it? Or can we just skip to removing it since the doctor is intending to anyway? I appreciate any feedback and experience anyone has had. This waiting game is driving me insane.

sorry i dont know but bumping it up for someone that may know.
