Neo-tAnGo

oh - and yesterday my wireless thingy went POOF!!! and refused to work any more
so i had to find the wired modem
and the extension cord for the phone line
and the spare gizmo that you need
and the install disc

(and my daughter tidied up mum’s house last week - took me hours to mess it up to find these things)

managed to get online again this morning

but then the phone was dead

so i reported it to BT

hours later … i had a think

unplugged the router so i just had the modem and …

voilå - i have my phone back!!!

so i emailed BT and thanked them for fixing it - but shhhhhh don’t tell them it was me!

quisie you make me laugh… Change your name and come join us!

Mmm… KFC

Julies - I have private messaged both of you?!

Hi gals

well, it is wednesday - and it is a mixture of good news and bad news. The bad news is i’m off the neo-tango trial and consigned to the boring TAC regime :frowning: I shall follow the tAnGo trial though, they can’t get rid of me THAT easy!
The good news is the lymph node is just normal tissue! So it seems I’m very, very, very fortunate.
Busy trying to knit my funky chemo hats now - never been much of a knitter, did the obligatory matinee jacket for each of my babies - took me the entire pregnancy to do one though! I did once knit a jumper for the older one when she was five, 4 years later i finished it for the younger one - problem was we were living in Cyprus by then and it was a particularly thick jumper! Anyone know where I can buy a beanie?

Hi Ruth

Just saw your post. Try www.headcovers.com. It is a US site, but delivery is very quick, mine came within 5 working days approx. I got some eyelashes and two hats, one a beanie and one very similar. It is worth having a look. Other people recommend bandanasrus.co.uk. But I have not used this one.

Sorry you had bad news about neo-tango trial (alas, doesn’t mean anything to me), but goodluck on your TAC.

Good luck with your knitting too, wouldn’t know where to start myself. Hope you find something on the websites.

Take care
Love

I love reading your posts - you do make me laugh !!

Check out the various websites for hats etc - I got my bandanas from the bandanashop and headcovers - there’s loads on line so you’re sure to find something.

Good luck with your chemo hon !

Love Julie xx

Thank you, thank you, thank you
*flutters eyelashes"

Dawn, the starting is easy - you buy the needles and the wool - it’s the next bit that’s the struggle - especially knitting in a circle, i have four needles and they have their own idea of what to do. Fortunately I got *furry* wool - so nobody can see the mistakes

I can’t *do* the online shopping as I don’t have a credit card - so if anyone sees a high street shop selling beanies I’d be so grateful - might even knit you a beanie

(I think that we’d look great in funky beanies in our old age care home 100 birthday celebrations!)

Hi Guys

Not been able to get online for a couple of days. At a friends house in Brum ready for the Police concert tonight. Had similar trouble to you Quisie, couldn’t get friends wireless mouse to work took me from 10ish this morning till now to work out how to reset it!! Where abouts in the country are you? Sorry about the Neotango bit but it is fantastic/brilliant news about your nodes, really happy for you.

My hair is starting to come out with a vengance now, trying to keep enough for tonight as didn’t bring wig with me!! Don’t want to look like I should be at a Michael Jackson concert (Thriller Video) instead of The Police!

Thanks for the info Dawn, hope your ok and the pink hats are looking good. And what a thought, us lot celebrating 100th Birthdays, now that’s something to aim for.

Jeebee - will go look at private message now. Hope you’re ok and would be great to meet up. I know on another site you can put your e-mail so perhaps we could sign on just to do that. I have already done it on, think it is the Cancerbreakthrough site, still on as JulieL.

JULIE41 - Hope you’re and how’s it going with your bloods? As said to Jeebee above shall we try the Cancerbreakthrough site to exchange e-mails?

Quisie - I agree you should change your name perhaps instead of Quisie you could be Juicy!!

Won’t be on my pc till tomorrow night but will be on this one for a while today.

Love to you all

Julie - lovely to see you, thought you’d got lost somewhere! I really hope you have the most fantastic night ever - silly me didn’t know they were playing so close to home, I’m just 35 miles as the crow flies from the band :-((
so enjoy yourself twice - once for me! Aching limbs/ sore neck/ sore throat - all perfectly normal side effects to playing air guitar/ head banging/ trying to sing louder than the band!

hugs

Juicy

Hi Juicy

35 miles away where? Just holding onto the headbanging hair, which I have been known to do! (I also like Rock music).

Hi Ruth/Quisie/Juicy, fab news about your nodes, even tho you won’t be tango-ing with us… and where are you? You can’t be too far away from Woolyhamperton??

Someone mention rock music? Oh yes, bring it on - although I’m losing hair all over the place now… baldy head banging for me I guess :o) Hopefully I’ll be ok to go see all the bands we had tickets for in the next few month, mainly Rush, Incubus and Maximo Park. Fingers crossed…

Julie, hope you have a fab night!!! And hope you J-ladies can arrange a meet-up, not found anyone round my neck o’ the woods yet…

Take care all,
Shannon

Hi Shannon

Hope you enjoyed your Australian Pink Floyd the other night, it was you wasn’t it? Brain mushy. It’s me that also likes a bit of Rock and my OH loves it, think it is Rush he is seeing in October. He met the one’s from Led Zep few years back as think there from Wooly way and he lived in Kiddy, said they were great guys. OH has just started going to some local Rock groups to do photograpy, just as a side line and it gets him to see some rock groups. No-one big yet but never know.

Love to you all on here and yes still hoping the J’s can meet up.

Take care

Hi Julie, yup that was me, they were fab, and very funny when they did the band intro, as they announced each band member, they were all called Bruce… apart from the girls, who were all called Sheila… :o) It was very strange though being the only sober one, all of my friends and the OH were a wee bit on the tipsy side. Oh, tell your OH to look out for Montana, and remember you saw it here first, they are going to be BIG! (Honestly, its a mere coincedence my friends lad is the bass player…) He didn’t meet the REAL Led Zep did he???

Right. Off to the shops, having felt suitably naughty for eating all the wrong and bad food according to some other posts on here, I thought I’d get summat a bit heathier. Will purchase a wheat bag at some time, Quisie, that was such a funny image, made me think of welly whanging, maybe we should start a new craze?

Have fun all,
Shannon

oh, questions, questions *rolls eyes*

Shannon - 4 years ago i was watching bob weir with ratdog at the robin 2 in bilston !!!

not so far from woolyhamperton - not far enough from the merry hell centre! just down the M5 where the huge lump of granite sticks up - think water and morgan cars … malvern - and i get the spring water for free ; i think one of led zep is buried near kiddy. by the way, from my front door i can see kinver edge - but not in the mornings, don’t see anything too early.

i have no problem with diet - we are told to eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day? Simple. Cocoa beans are a vegetable - but so much nicer when concentrated as chocolate. Grapes are very good and, by preserving them with yeast - how can they possibly say wine is bad?

hope you’re all well and that the Police survived Julie!

(not green, not jealous, no, no, no)

hugs

Hi All

Shannon - Yes OH met Robert Plant and Jimmy Paige. Long time ago now b4 my time with him.

Juicy - Like the diet, Police just survived me. Don’t think person in front was so lucky! My voice has gone a bit, not that I had one to start with (Not tuneful anyway). Couldn’t believe how much I was leaping about got adrenaline from somewhere. Lost lots of hair there!! Felt 14 shouting “Sting I Love You”. Took bit of video on phone, not too good though all you could here is me shouting. Friend and I had not bad seats had great view of them all. They were absolutely brilliant. Given me such a boost.

Leaving Brum shortly to go back home, looking forward to seeing my little boy and suppose the OH. Speak later,

Love to you all
