I’m so sorry you are going through this the waiting is absolutely the worst part.
From what you have described it sounds like your team are being as thorough as possible to ensure that you get the right treatment. Whilst most ladies will get their cancer diagnosis at the biopsy stage for some reason it looks like they were not able to confirm either positively or negatively whether what was spotted on the mammogram was cancer or not. I’m sure it will have explained to you why they have taken some lymph nodes out ie this is standard if it is cancer to establish whether or not the tumour has spread, but in your case as they weren’t sure they took some to test to save you having further surgery in the event the mass is breast cancer.
I’m sure your mind is currently going into overdrive, and the advice is much the same, try and distract yourself until you know for certain.
