I found the first one was by far the worst, subsequent ones were much more manageable
Just had an injection . Nurse said they can give me something stronger than paracetamol if the pain is bad and to give them a ring. Dx
I agree with Roadrunner, it does get better after the first one.
take care

Hi
How long before it starts to hurt if it’s going to? Had mine at about 11.00 this morning and nothing so far. Debx
When I had my neupogen and neulasta mid morning, the pain kicked in during the night, took co-codamol 30/500 and nurofen. You should always have it, the risks of febrile neutropenia is high and you can end up in hospital if you can an infection whilst having a low WBC.
I took a combo of diclofenac and cocodamol for first then ibuprofen and paracetamol together for the rest [I had 8].
I had bone pain but low level after first neulasta. Kicked in a few days after but didt need paracetamol. Short lived. Didn’t get bone pain at all after second neulasta. Have had bone pain this time but I think that is se of my first tax rather than the jab. Consultant onc told me ibuprofen for the pain. Would agree with sleeping too. Anything to get thru it. Good luck. Xxx
Hi hmm pain started through the night have taken codiene and paracetamol hope that does the trick.dx
i had diclofenic with the pain after the first 1 but then just ibruprofen and paracetomol.
Usually lasted a few days but only bad the first 24/48 hours.
