Hi I have never joined any chat line before and like you all wish I didnt have to join this one either. Here goes.
I was diagnosed 1st week of January, following a routine mammogram, grade 2 had 4 attempts at biopsies. 1st one was ultra sound waited 1 week and results were inconclusive. 2nd one hospital experienced a power cut when I was in the mammogram machine, stuck there for 10 mins! 3rd one took ages finding the exact spot before they gave me the local, then when they started with the biposy needle I could feel it and I fainted so got sent home again. Following week had sucessful biopsy followed by another week long wait for results. Had lumpectomy with 2 wires inserted (as 1st one was not in correct place) and node removal on 23rd Feb. 2 weeks after told been downgraded to 1 and all 16 nodes that were removed were clear, phew!! releaf. bad news was had not got clear margin so had another re-incision on 1st April. Suffered badly with seroma and have had 2 lots removed in last week 105ml and 75ml. Went for results 2 days ago but yet again they are not back. BC nurse has promised to ring me today. I just need support and reassurance that it does not go right 1st time for everyone else either. Have been told I will need radiotherapy but so far no idea when.
Hi Wendle … well what a time you seem to have had! must have been a nightmare for you…cant believe so many things went wrong or messed up - its stressful enough without all that additional stress!
Just wanted to say hello and welcome. I am still waiting for my results so no diagnosis at all yet, and Im hoping I will get good news. - but there are so many people one here who I know will offer you enormous amounts of support, shoulders to cry on, people to make you smile, and just about anything you may need to be honest…many of them going through similar experiences and treatment to you.
Sorry that your first experience on a forum has to be this one (If you know what I mean) … but believe me its amazing how supportive it seems to be for everyone.
I am sure you will get lots of replies and messages of support, and I wish you all the very best going forward.
Take good care of yourself

Hi Wendie
Sorry to hear that you’ve had such a hard time with it all .Honestly it’s bad enough going through this without all the complications.
If it’s any consolation at all I had a farirly complicated journey prior to diagnosis. I had FNA- then infection so had to have anti biotics. Was told results were fine and no BC.Two weeks later I was unexpectedly recalled for triple test and told it was BC after all although the results were still inconclusive. After biopsy I bled loads so had to have presure dressing. Also had 2 week wait for results- still inconclusive. Had lump out 2 weeks ago after another long wait. This time it went fairly smoothly although I did bleed alot.
Finally got results yesterday 2 months after finding lump- and it is DCIS and non invasive. Got to go back in for another op as they didn’t get it all though.
In comparision my journey is smoother than yours but it has had a few bumps!I know how awful all the vague ‘inconclusive’ statements are.
There will be light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully after your rocky road any other op’s you may/may not need will go more smoothly,
This website has been my lifeline!

Hi Sue & Freddie
It does help knowing there are other people stessing about the ssme sort of (sometimes seemingly little) things.
The breast care nurse has just rung me and the results of the re-incision were all clear, no cells left. My cancer is Lobular, Tubular and measured 11mm.
Just looked that up and it seems that is quite a rare one and only 2% of people get it. Also says it is unlikely to spread. BC nurse said I will need radiotherapy to the breast only and the wait for that is about 10 weeks from 2nd op.
Freddie you are having just as bad if not a worse time than me I hope all goes well with your 2nd op.
Sue I will keep everything crossed for you that your news is the best!
Thank you both for your support I am sure I will get the hang of this chatting to strangers. I have been reading lots of the other threads and some of them make me feel realy silly for getting in such a state about waiting for results. But to others out there reading this it seems we are all in the same boat and its not sinking!!
love to all Wendy xxxx
hi wendle - sorry you’ve had to join us but welcome all the same!! The waiting game is horrible and the worst bit I think, because your mind thinks too much…keep well, mary
ps where are you from Wendle - in the your area section there are various people looking to meet up for a coffee etc and there might be something in your area if you fancy…
