New boob after radiotheraply

Not sure if anyone can help on this one. I had bc in 2002. Had chemo first as the lump was 9cm. Chemo shrunk it it to 2.5. Then had surgery with full reconstruction from my back. And shows how long ago it was had radiotherapy on it. So as you can imagine the boob shrunk and is quite hard. But with a bra on you couldn’t tell from my real boob. Well I was dx again in Nov last year. And again elected for a reconstruction from my back. Chemo afterwards but no radio this time. By new (the left) is fine. Feels like a real boob and is soft and squashy to touch. Both of them have an inplant in. But now sure if it is still very much swollen after surgery (4.5 weeks ago) or this is the finished article. But they are very very very very odd!!! In shape and size. The surgeon put a size 2 implant into my new boob as this is what I had in my first op. But as the radio shrunk it and hardened it I find it hard to understand why he did this and didn’t put the smaller size 1 in if the other had shrunk. I was always a 36B size now but have to get a 38DD to make the new boob fit in a cup and obviously this is way too big for my old boob. With me so far??? I will get to the point honest. If the surgeon does level me up and puts a smaller one in the new size. Is there anyway the old size which is now a bit misshappen have any surgery on it. To make is softer and rounder again or is that it??? Has radio completey ruined it. Which is probably the reason they don’t do radio after surgery now. I want them to both be equal. But at the mo there is hell of a difference. Even when you push them up you can see loads of breast at the top on the left but nothing on the old right side. Would a smaller implant on the new side reduce this aswell?

Not sure if I can really sort this out for you, but from personal experience, swelling lasts an awful lont time, in my case about three years.

I would discuss your problem in depth with your surgeon
