New growth

Hi,

I went to see the ONC on Thursday and she said that the the Ct scan showed a small nodule had grown were I the pleural effusion. She say it was where the fluid had crossed the lung. Its only 8mm and she said because I am obviously very hormone positive the Arimidex has been working and she really didn’t know whether to change my medication.
In the end she has decided to change it to Aromosin (exemestane)and continue on the Zoladex injections. The onc said that i will rescanned in January and if this isn’t working then I’ll have to go back on chemo.
I was wondering has anyone else had similar what experiences and can you let me know there are?
I feel a bit lost at the moment and I’m finding it hard when family/friends ask and then having to deal with their grief all over again. I’m on my own which seems to be a rare occurance. But feel an immense saddnes over coming me. I expect I’ll bounce back and I’m going out with the girls tonight which we be a welcomed distractions.
Thanks for listening, off to blow my nose and sort myself out before my husband gets back.
Love
Chris

Hi steris

Sorry to read you’re having a rough time at the moment. Whilst you are waiting for the other users to reply with their experiences may I suggest you give the BCC helpline a call to talk things through with one of the trained members of staff. The helpliners are there to offer emotional support as well as information. The number is 0808 800 6000 and the lines are opem Monday to Friday 9 to 5pm and Saturday 9 to 2pm.

I hope this is helpful
