Hi All
I finished chemo and rads a few weeks ago after lumpectomy and mx. All going slowly but ok. now my hair has started to return a little but dark grey. I hear you’re not supposed to dye it yet but why and when can i return to blonde?
Also, hair has appeared on my face and odd black hairs on my nose! not very attractive with no eyelashes. lol. Will this settle down soon and what’s the best way to deal with it?

My hair came back very grey and at 32 i wasnt too impressed! I was also hairier than ever and my armpits and legs went crazy as did my eyebrows. my eyelashes re grew massively long then dropped out which gutted me as then they regrew like normal.
I did dye my hair about 6mths after treatment ended and my hair hated it. It went limp, lifeless and straw dry and i was terrified it was going to drop out! It has since recovered and i wont be dying it any time soon!

hi there, i finished treatment end of march this yr. mine too has grown back a lot greyer than it was
i think you cant dye because of the chemicals still in your body
i waited 5 mths and then used herbatint. it covered the grey completly and ive since used a few more
my hairdresser says she will do some blond highlights after xmas for the 1st time. must say im very nervous lol
would be interested in hearing from anyone else who has gone back to blonde
Hello. I finished chemo in May 07. My hair grew back mainly grey. I coloured it myself for several months with a very gentle tint and finally went back to the hairdresser in Jan 08 for blonde hightlights.
Since then the condition of my hair has been reasonably good although taking Aromasin doesn’t help it.

Foodie888 i finished my chemo 19th Aug and mine came back much greyer than before i usually dye mine blonde aswell so this week i tried a gently herbal 1 which turned me ginger EEEEekKKKK so yesterday i died it with my usual colour ( 4 months from chemo) with ammonia ,bleach ,parabens and all i couldnt wait any longer My oncologist said it was just because the hair follicles may still be weak and texture still fine but hey ho whats the worst that could happen … my 2 inch fluff could fall out again …well sofar so good its still on ha ha xxJulie

thank you all SO much. it looks as though i too will have to embrace my grey Annie Lennox look for a while but that’s no problem compared to the last year 
anyone else had the facial hair problem. please tell me it goes away! am crossing my fingers. xx
