To all of you ladies living with none, or very little hair I just wanted to share with you the joy of that first visit back at the hairdressers. Friends and family were saying shouldn’t you wait, it’s not very long, but it was salt and pepper, heavy on the salt!
I return to work next wk. Still not sure, may wear my wig as my hair is very thin still, it’s short too, about 10-12mm long, but the thinness makes me look like a sick person returning to work, hence the new hair colour, purpley maroon!
Next time I go in 6 wks time, I will be having it brighter, heavy on the purple, thats if the scalp is less evident.
But going to the hairdresser was ‘normal’, something I havn’t done for 10 mths. Yes I have saved some money, but I want to do normal things again, every day of this new life I now have to lead.
If you are baldy, take note, it grows back, honest! Ans when it does, you can dye it any colour you want!

ps my hairdresser used an organic wash out in 11 washes type dye.

thankyou for your post, it’s so good to hear that your hair will return. i due my last chemo tomoroe! yipee! follwed by 6 weeks rads. i have a mohican style at the mo with a bald head and a little tuff at the back. My hair was quite long before this blimmin BC stole it but cant wait for it to grow… may even die it Pink when it returns. Oh what fun!

Every time i read a posting where people say “dont worry it always grows back” my police siren gets going.lol
Its official that taxatere can make you permantly bald like it has to me. Just about to write to the makers (with my oncs blessing) to ask for some nice wigs (fat chance of them doing that i suppose). I am only 49, have had no hair for nearly 2 years now and just feel permantly ugly and I WANT MY HAIR BACK.

Dont be Daft Irene you havent offended or annoyed ! just everytime someone writes that hair will always come back i feel its my duty to point out that thats not always the case. But i am going to try to sqeeze some money out of them…
