I have found what I think are lumps above and below mastectomy {december} scar
I dont know if it could be part of breast bone or what it should feel like
I opted not to take tamoxifen as risk of recurrence was rated as low I am 61yrs old and have osteoporosis diabetes and several other diseases asthma and vasculitis
I feel so worried and unsure I got app for tomorrow but
Has anyone else felt this and if it is new lumps what steps will be taken will I get op biopsy or MRI scan
should I ask for scan please advise someone

Yes only two weeks ago i got myself into such a state about a lump i was feeling, luckily saw my onc very quickly who said it was tissue rubbing on the breast bone, i trust my onc 100% and he said that if he doubted anything he would send e there and then for a scan but he wasnt worried. I was due a scan as its been a year so i was sent for a MRI last week and everything is ok. Because ive just had chemo, rads and now on hercerptin and tamoxifen the chances of a new lump is low. I think everyone on this is site has this experience of finding a new lump, its only to be expected that were scared of it returning, i know it hit me more after i sort of got the all clear and then panic sets in about it coming back.
Lets hope the doctor can put your mind at rest tomorrow, good luck and big hugs

Hi Ann, i too have found what i think might be a lump on the good side, and i am on tamoxifen! i think it is probabley nothing, but this little demon in my head likes to stir it up a bit! get it seen as soon as you can, life’s too short for all this worry. and take Tracey’s advice, i have

I also have a sore hard lump that feels like rib and another on my left side below armpit (Mastectomy was in June) BCN says it is a hoematoma ( sorry can’t spell it). I had another at the end of the scar in the middle of my chest but has now gone after massage as she predicted.
I had a CAT scan and bone scan in June and all was well, but I will try to get to see BNC again just to check it out again… These things are a worry I thought it was going to be simpler than this but hey ho early days yet
