Just been told to take letrozole what side effects can I expect thanks

Thank you for your post.

Letrozole is a hormone therapy drug used as a treatment for oestrogen receptor positive breast cancer as it reduces the amount of oestrogen in the body.

Side effects experienced can vary from person to person but the most common ones we hear about are menopausal symptoms and aching in the joints, other side effects are listed in the link above.

If you’re interested we offer a range of free supportive services. They include face to face and online courses and events.

You may find the speaker live session on the 30th September on understanding hormone treatment helpful to register on.

The helpline team have time to listen, talk things through and signpost you to additional support and information if necessary.
