Hi, found what i thought was a lump and my left breast and it was getting bigger and quite sore to, bout month and half ago fininally went dcs two weeks go, he refered me to hospital, i was given an appoinment the next day. All happen so fast it was crazy which made me even more worried, because he told me it would take upto two weeks for an appoinment. Saw the doc at the hospital who said i also had thicking of the tissue too, i had a ultra sound done as am only 26 year old. While i was having my ultra sound they didnt say if everything was ok or not, was told to wait n see the doc again, who examine me again n said that there was deffently thicking of the tissues as well as a lump and that she wonted me to come back in four weeks, to have another scan, see her n also have a biopsy done. I have actually had a period since i have been and its still the same (i have polystic ovarys too. ). There is no family history of cancer either. Everybody just says am fine but i carnt help but worrie not that anybody really nos cause nobody wont to talk about it really.the consutalt gave me a book on pain. Am i being stupid n silly to b worryed. And because i mostly work night i have googled things too which i no is a bad idea but i need sum help. Big hugs to everybody xxx
Hello Wangers. Judging by what they have done so far, it doesn’t sound like they think it is cancer. If they did, they would have taken a biopsy there and then. The reason they have left it for 4 weeks, is to see if it has gone away by itself or calmed down.
I know it’s a very difficult time, but all the evidence here says you will be ok. You just need to try and relax until your return appointment. I wish you good luck and urge you not to worry unduly. x
