After having my first mammogram I was called back . Now after ultra sounds, biopsy, w l e, SNB and ANC I have been offered the oncoDX test. I am going back on the 30th aug to find out what’s next. Could do with any advice , anyone’s got.
Also this is the first time I’ve ever gone on anything like this, so apologises. If I’ve got it wrong . Looking forward to replies . HOPEFULLY!

Hi Chris,

sorry to hear of your diagnsosis, I don’t know much about the oncoDX test, but know it is offered to some women with small no-negative tumours as part of a clinical trail  (NW England and Wales mostly).  I know one or two people who have gone that route and found it reassuring to have the persomalised ‘risk assessment’ done.  Whatever the results show, you will get the best treatment for you.

Just a thought - you might also like to post about this with the subject as Oncotype DX Test in the ‘going through treatment’ part of the forum. forum.breastcancercare.org.uk/t5/Going-through-treatment/ct-p/going_through_treatment

Yay you indeed!

Re; alcohol, yes, in moderation is fine (and I’m sure a bit more sometimes is OK too!)… I happen to be TT (various reasons) and when the nurse was telling me that ‘the odd glass of wine is OK’ I said, in jest, ‘what, you mean I have to START drinking?!’  be kind to yourslef, and little treats are deifnitely in order.

I had my diagnosis last Thursday 2 weeks after my mammogram and my surgery is planned for 13 August. Hopefully just going to be a lumpectomy. Still got to have my MRI.
Off to south west France for a much longed for holiday and to have 2 weeks relaxation before I give this my full attention.
Good luck to all who waiting or having treatment
