That looks interesting! But may be only suitable for smaller cup sizes? don’t know for sure - only surmising. I haven’t had liposuction to know how much can be sucked from one area and injected into another!
I should investigate this before you have your DIEP flap op, as it looks far less invasive.
Lotty
It does say that it is an alternative to artifical implants, and the lady an immediate recon.
I had a mastectomy - I need a flap of skin also.
Just rang Worthing Hospital to find out more - left a message with the bcn.
I dont think it is a viable option for me anyway, but it may be for other ladies out there.
I had latissimus dorsi plus liposuction. Use the search engine for comments about LD plus lipo and it should bring up the details. The result was very good and still is very good. The breast feels and looks very natural. It also feels part of me; some of the stem cells in amongst the fat cells have changed into nerve cells so I’ve got more sensation in the new breast than one might expect.
Hi SUe
I have just come out of hospital today after my DIEP. I am really pleased with the results. I dont think this new method would have been any good for me since I lost my breast 6 months ago, and would need a skin flap also. Stretching the skin for liopstyling still would not have achieved the same result because there wouldnt be a natural droop.
I am pleased with the shape and it does feel part of me also - it looks fantastic. When John came to pick me up today he couldnt believe that I had a great cleavage!!!
Infact, when I first came around after surgery, I looked down, and I didnt even look twice - it was like it had never been taken away in the first place. Thinking back, I should have felt differently, and been excitied. But because it looks just like the other one, I had forgotten what it was like not to have only one breast!
Anyone thinking about it, and not sure - go fot it!
