New to the forum

Hello

I’m currently awaiting results from my second core vacuum biopsy (Wed 26 March) - feeling very nervous, thought the first biopsy would give me some answers. Initially called back after routine breast screen on 3 Feb showed an area of concern, ultrasound showed nothing. The last six weeks have been the worst I’ve experienced - think its the not knowing!!!

Hi Ange,
I couldn’t agree more about the waiting. My wait game started in January with routine mammogram. I was called back for a diagnostic mammogram. They told me hat is need a stereotactic biopsy and it was lucky enough to have the 1st biopsy Feb10th… One day before turning 50. Results came back saying I needed to have a surgical biopsy so I was scheduled and had the lumpectomy March 5th. I couldn’t sleep, couldn’t think straight and the only time I felt any sanity was when I’d read this forum. The stories and trials that everyone shared helped me understand things better. I found myself here a lot. My results came back with a diagnosis of Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia and PASH. My surgeon recommended Tamoxifen and I have been on it a week. I feel bad for anyone playing the waiting game and I thought I’d go nuts if I heard " I’m sure it’s ok" one more time!! Those words didn’t help the anxiety. That being said, I hope you get answers soon. I just wanted to share that coming here often really seemed to help me. It helped me stop surfing and googling all of the “what ifs”

Take care

Hi everyone, I am a new member and its been good to find this place and be able to read some of your experiences.  I was diagnosed with BC in February and had a lumpectomy and lymph node removal on March 7th.  I have not healed very well and my breast feels like an orange about to burst for most of the time.  However, my unit has been great and they have reopened my wound to allow it to drain and try and dry out and heal.  I am finding the tiredness overwhelming but received good news this week in that they had managed to removal both tumors and  all the lymph which hadn’t spread.  As soon as this heals I am undertaking chemotherapy and just waiting to see my oncologist

I look forward to chatting to you
