Hi it has taken me three weeks since being diagnosed to get on to this site - wasted weeks I think having seen the supportive threads! I have been diagnosed with stage 2 idc (no idea if that is right) having bi-lateral mx and strattice reconstruction on tuesday next week. Not sure if I will need further treatment till results from the lymph nodes cimes back
Not sure I have any questions really…not yet anyway!
Xx

Hi Andief67, sorry you’ve had to join the club nobody wants to be in, but we are a very friendly bunch. Just fire away whenever you think of any questions, someone on here will generally have an answer for you or be able to point you in the right direction. If you want to shout, scream, have a rant or a cry that’s fine too, we all understand where you are coming from and we have very broad shoulders! Good luck with the lymph nodes results, Pat x
Hi andief67, as Pat says sorry you have had to join this ‘club’. My advice would be to find out exactly what you have. You can ask for your path lab result. I just phoned my Consultant’s secretary and she posted it. You can then ask your breast care nurse or the nurses on this site to explain it to you. Better to face the little alien and see how you are going to exterminate it!.
Other ladies reading this can advise you about what to expect regarding your op as I had a primary and had what is known as wide local excision x 2 to get a clear margin plus SNB ( sentinel boned biopsy). Then rad treatment and now on Anastrozole for five years. Sounds like you had SNB as well?. When do you get your results?.
What is recommended by most ladies who have been where you are now say don’t google, use this website or MacMillian site as some of the others are just too scary!.i found my breast are nurses best to chat too in the early days. take care, Katy.
