Newbie: Feeling a bit pushed into making Chemo deicision...

Thanks Faye, lots to read and take in isn’t it. Keep in touch and let me know how you’re doing.

Hi Trish, as the others have said we are all part of a club that none of us wanted to join! but this on here here has been brilliant for me. I have a fantastic family and great friends whose support has been out of this world. But at the end of the day it is you that has to go on the journey which can be very up and down and scary at times. Since joining the Awesome April Angels set up by Pauline my journey has become much easier. Most of us are now half way thought the chemo treatment and I believe we have learnt so much from each other and there is also great humour in the various things that happen along the way.
if you look at these threads for each month you will have a good idea of how it can affect you, particularly with side affects and hair loss. In our group we all lost our hair at roughly the same time, and while initially it was a horrible thought, it became quite liberating when finally shaved it all off. Today I went around Danone of my daughters to see my grandchildren and my granddaughter always pulls my scarf off! I completely forgot about it and walked home without it.2 months ago I would have been horrified but I can now just laugh.
please trust in your oncologists, remember the first part of the Hippocratic oath is " do no harm".
