ive just been diagonsed with ilbc. I dont really have much info as yet as i was given this result over the phone!!
By the way I live in cyprus so i think that my treatment might differ from the UK.
I have an appointment at the breast clinic (they call is bust clinic over here haha) on Tuesday. Hope to have loads more info then.
Just thought i would pop in and say HI

ok here goes
the microscopic exam shows piece of breast carcinoma. The tumor cells are smal lwith hyperchromatic nuclei and scanty eosinophilic cytoplasma. Mitotic figures are numerous. the tumor cells shows diffuse growth pattern. single tumor cells are also seen. Glandar tumor structures are absent.
Conclusion the apperances are consistent with invasive and in situ lobular carsinoma of the breast.
Anne, would give the helpline a call if you can’t wait until tomorrow, they will be able to tell you what everything means.

Oh dear ive treid ringing the help line a few times but its busy. Now ive not got enough credit left on my phone to ring them again grrr. Oh well i will have to wait and see what they say tomoro. Troueble is will he/she speak good english. Oh well we will soon see

I have a friend in Cyprus who has bc and she had to make the trip from Paphos every day for radiotherapy.
I was diagnosed in Sept 2010 and so far I am doing great (fingers crossed!!!)I have a six month check up tomorrow.
Always dread going to these.Where are you in Cyprus? OH and I spend a lot of time over there.

I had invasive lobular cancer too…look it up online on this website it gives a lot of info and also ideas for questions to ask, good luck
Hi Tauras Yes I am going to Limassol general. I am currently living in vouni but we are moving this weekend back to Pissouri. Such a small world we live !!!

Just back from my appointment. well i do have to have a MX. I am being transfered to nicosia hospital and i have an appointment with the surgeon there on monday.
So by Monday evening i should have a treatment plan. I hope

Hi Cyprus anne.At least on Monday you will know what your treatment will be.
I just got back from the breast clinic and thank goodness all seems to be well.Have to have yearly mamo in Nov then back to the clinic in Dec, so at least I can relax again! We went to pissouri beach a few times when we have been in Cyprus.

Not as well as I had hoped. The surgeon at Nicosia wants an MRI done to double check the other breast grrr. But he has said that should be within 10 days and i will go in for the op a few days later. So not to bad I suppose. I had just got it in my head I would have a date for the op today grr. Oh well

Better to be on the safe side and have the MRI.I know what you mean, you just want to get it out!!!
I was diagnosed 3 days before we were going to Cyprus for a month.I didnt cancell but worried the whole time.Had an appointment the day after we got home and still had to wait another 3 weeks before the op.Fortunately I only needed a lumpectomy but didnt know that at the time.I arrived at the airport with my slippers on!! Had to buy some shoes as all my stuff was packed.Hope you dont have to wait too long,let us know and try not to worry too much.

Ive now got an appointment to meet my oncolagist on friday!!! Lets hope they sort out the MRI and date for the op.
