Hi just found out on the 27th sept I have grade 3 breast cancer going for my pre op next tues don’t know what to expect I have my lump and surrounding tissues removed on the 16 th October very worried x

Hi Sue,
So sorry you are going through this worrying time. When I went for my pre-op, they did the usual tests, blood pressure, ECG, and I think a blood test too. A nurse went through my recent medical history and I took in a list of medication that I’m on. Then I had a word with the head anaesthetist. As I have rheumatoid arthritis among other things, he wanted to know how wide I could open my mouth and how mobile I was. There’s really nothing to be worried about. Good luck for your surgery on 16th.
