Newly diagnosed - already with complications

Hi

I’m new to this forum. I’m 37 and was diagnosed on Tuesday. I had biopsys on my left breast and lymph nodes then went back on Friday for confirmation of the diagnosis only to be told - yes you have cancer can’t be told what stage or heading it’s at as the sample wasn’t enough so need more

I had another biopsy on my left breast and the bubble test to find my sentinal node and then a biopsy of that.

I didn’t find any of the biopsys easy and found them uncomfy and a little painful despite the anasetic.

The biopsy in my breast (2nd one) whilst they were there they ‘nicked’ the lymph gland so I now have an oozing and painful breast. We spoke to the consultant over the weekend and yesterday they took me back in to have a vacuum bag attached to the wound to collect the liquid.

The results from the second biopsy are not until Thursday. I already know it will be 6 rounds of chemo followed by surgery followed by radio therapy.

I can see this is not going to be an easy journey and would appreciate any help, guidance, queations to ask and some light humour along the way.

Sorry for the ramblings

Xx

Hello Enzobenzo

Iwas just recently diagnosed too - I saw the oncologist Friday for confirmation of what I’d already been told the week before - so I know how dark a place you must be in - even without the added complications you have!

I have no advise I’m afraid other than to hang on in there - not that we have much choice eh!

It’s all the not really knowing what’s going to happen that is getting to me to be honest x

Hopefully we’ll be able to support each other - as well as benefiting from the support of the others on here who are also at various stages of the journey x  x

Hi, thats kinda sucky. Hugs. Im new too, got my biopsy to find margins on monday, cos my lump could be used as a squash ball. The wildly inappropriate gallows humour is so funny right now in our house. The waiting around is dreadful, dont know about you but I found the tea bags in the fridge yesterday. Anyway, I have no extra knowledge, but wanted to send love and support. Theres a facebook page for younger women under 45 that has been mentioned to me…im 45 . If it hasnt been mentioned to you I ll just go check the name. Xxx hope the second biopsy is a doddle

Younger breast cancer network. Apparently you message them and its private xx

Thanks all for your support. Second biopsy had its complications too but all done and chemo is underway. The side effects have been quite a lot but it’s manageable and consultants and oncologists are pleased with me

Second round of chemo is next week. Don’t like it but needs must and it’s making me better so just got to go for it

Hope you are all bearing up well
