Hi guys, especially those i met at the Penny Brohn centre this week - under a different name. The Bristol meet up is on the 24th April at 10.30 for brunch at Goldbrick House, Park Street, Bristol. I’m sure being a sleepy head i shall arrive late but if you just go in and ask for the table in the name of Becky they should direct you to the rest of the group. I look forward to seeing you all - old and new. If you can put a message on here so much the better don’t worry if not. x
Goldbrick House is at 69 Park Street, which is fairly near the top of Park Street, I think. There is a multi storey car park on Jacobs Wells Road which isn’t too far away but there may be somewhere closer that others can think of!
I am looking orward to seeing everyone on Tuesday.

The next meet up in Bristol for all primary and secondary people will be on 5th July at 12.30 at Treble Seven, 777 Fishponds Road, Bristol BS16 3BS.
This is the group who used to meet at Browns in Clifton, but all are welcome and I hope some new people might like to join us! It is an informal, friendly group meeting up for lunch/coffee.
If you need directions and parking information, let me know. I would be glad if you could let me know if you are going to come along, so I have a rough idea of numbers.

Hi there, I just wondered if there is another meet up in the Brristol or SW area soon?
Hi. I live in Bristol and I would love to meet up for lunch or whatever!
I had primary breast cancer 31years ago now, but I had a second breast removed 29 years ago as there were signs of it starting on the other side. But heh I am still standing! Didn’t want a second mastectomy but as I was a 34DD it evened things up a bit.
5 years later I had reconstruction using tissue ex panders and am now 34B
To this day my elderly aunt says “you are lucky to have a small bust dear” without thinking what she is saying!
Cheers Mo xxx
Hi Julie Max,
I attend a Secondary Breast Cancer group monthly. It is for ladies with Secondaries only. This is a great group. We are all in the same boat, as it were and can discuss all our troubles and problems openly. The group has only been running since last April and already we have a good hub of a group. We welcome new members regularly and by the end of their first meeting all have joined in and return when they can.
Not sure if you have secondaries, but if you do, you are more than welcome to join this grup. We meet in the Holiday Inn at the James Barton Roundabout, central Bristol, every month. You can park n the NCP carpark next door and get your ticket stamped prior to leaving the hotel. This means, no charge.
The nexy meeting is on January 9th from 11-3pm. There will be a speaker and an open discussion group. Lunch is provided.
Please come along and bring anyone you know with Secondarie with you. All welcome.

Many of us have joined a facebook group called Somerset CanDo which is for women with primary or secondary breast cancer. It is a closed group and you need to provide a couple of details about yourself when you apply to join. Your answers are not known to the group but enable the administrators to restrict admission to genuine breast cancer patients. This isn’t a support group as such just a group of women who enjoy arranging fun activities. Maybe I will meet you at an activity soon

Hi Mangobird, pleased to find a Bristol meetup, do you have a date for the next one, look forward to meeting, Ozzie
Hi - I would be really interested in meeting up with some fellow BC secondary ladies in Bristol - please could I know when and where the next meet up is? Alex
I don’t go to these meetings myself as I had primary cancer, but I noticed your post. I believe these meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, venue and time as in an earlier post.
Somerset CanDo Facebook network is still going strong if you are interested. Details above.
All the best
Anne
Many thanks Anne - will check it out. Hope you’re doing well. Alex x
