Night owls...insomnia!

Lack of sleep certainly makes you feel more down and vulnerable .May be worth seeing if you can get something to help with it even if just to jolt your body out of the “pattern”.

Hi all, I have suffered with insommnia for years and since taking Tamoxifen it seems worse. I have now started taking them in the morning rather than at night and it does seem to have helped a bit. I feel like a permanent zombie at the moment, doesn’t help the moods either does it! I feel my happy energetic self has just vanished, am hoping after rads have finished I might feel a bit better. Have a nice day everyone, Sharon x

Hi sharon
I used to take mine morning but felt sick n horrid all day.so started taking at night hoping sickness would come while I was sleeping…I dont think I will ever get my happy over active self back whilst taking these tablets x

How long have you been taking it now Christine?I wonder whether the impact of everything else stress, anxiety, surgery radiotherapy has a general impact on your mental and physical health and it can be hard to tease out what is the drug and what you might have felt anyway.Just think about your body has been through .

Im on my third packet now had surgery in april and finished rads two months ago…I was fine until started that tablet…im sure if I stopped taking it I would feel myself again…x

Have you tried different brands?

I think if it affects your quality of life dramatically it may not be worth the 1 or 2 % decrease in chance of the bugger coming back.I read that it is more significant depending on how high your ER positive reading was.
