Nipple adenoma

Hi,

This is my first time on this site!

I was diagnosed with a nipple adenoma in Jan 09 and had a lumpectomy in early March.I am 35 years old. The lump was beside my nipple.

Unfortunately my local consultant was not very helpful and did not really explain my diagnosis fully, he told me not to worry as it was a non cancerous condition. Initially after my biopsy i was told they had found abnormal cells. Once the lump had been removed no mention was made of these cells.

I am totally confused as i understand nipple adenoma is a rare condition. Has anyone out there had the same ?

Hi bett

Firstly, welcome to our Forums, I am sure you will find them of great help and support.

I understand that this must be a very confusing time for you. If you are not clear and feel you would like to speak to someone about your diagnosis and condition, you might like to give our Helpline a call.

The Helpline are on hand to offer support and information or even just a listening ear if you feel you need to offload your concerns.

Give them a call if you feel it would help to chat. The number is at the top of the screen.

Kind regards.

I have recently been diagnosed with a nipple adenoma. As you say it is apparently rare and I cannot find much information about it on the usual trustworthy websites.

I would be very greatful to know whether you found any useful informal about it anywhere.

i think this is what i have too(!). at least, the GP told me mine was a fibroadenoma, and it’s growing right on my nipple, and it looks just like the images that trusty old google gives me…

i’m afraid i don’t know anything about it though.
