nipple area

i am just wondering if with breast cancer that the nipple area changes as my right one has nipple has sort of inverted when raise my arm is flat when arm is down the glands are bigger then normal and theareola is bigger can anyone give some advise thanks

Hi Jess

I’m no expert but do know that any changes, any worries should be checked out. If you don’t do that you’ll just worry yourself sick, so pluck up your courage and have a check up.

Hi jessicachristine,I remember you posting back in April about having problems with a swelling in your neck and then another post about having a flat nipple and a lump.I think you said you had a x ray and that your DR wasn’t really concerned(although I can’t think why DR would send you for chest x ray).I would see another DR and if that’s not possible then I would insist on being referred to breast clinic.

Ive got a simular problem with mine but I had surgery less that 6 weeks ago my BN thinks its due to the new tissue forming where I had my lumpectomy, they will check it this tuesday …I agree with Mel I would get it checked out & ask for a referrel to breast clinic even if its for peace of mind.
