nipple discharge and microdochectomy I have had a clear discharge for 3 years, it was checked out at the local Breast Clinic attached to our hospital then and was clear. I was told not to worry. It never went away and although a nusiance (web patches on t-shirts etc) I didnt follow it up again. In November I was called back after a regular mammogram. I then had to go through the painful experience of a core biopsy twice and although the tissue biop is clear there are still what they call ‘odd’ cells in the discharge. I am going into hosp 15 March to have the duct removed. It still worries my that they will find cancer. Not only have I got two scars on my areola I will have a further bigger one now. I am not looking forward to the 15th and have been worried since November. Has anyone else has this op?
