Has anyone else had one of these? I am due to have one at the end of November and am scared ****less that it is going to be done under local anaesthetic! How long do the dressings stay on - ‘whilst the blood supply establishes’.I know it is nothing compared to the TRAM flap and mastectomy so why am I so scared!!!

I haven’t had a nipple sharing graft yet-I am also due to at some point-I didn’t realise the graft was done under local.
But I’m posting because I did have a nipple made by another method under local anaesthetic (the type where they tist and stitch existing skin), and the procedure was ok.
It felt quite strange-lots of tugging and pulling, but no pain, and they put a screen up so you can’t see anything. I found it a bit difficult having people discussing me at one point, but managed to lie there and let them do their job. I found it preferable to going under a general.

i dont have any experience of this a bit behind you in procedure, however totally understand where you are coming from, for me its being awake whilst they do something…

I’m on the waiting list for one, it won’t be before xmas. I was definitely told I would have a general anaesthetic.
