I mentioned a while ago that sex was just too painfull.
Its bad enough having no sex drive but when it hurts so bad you just cant do it.
Having no sex drive isnt good but once i start then i enjoy it and feel horny.

Well, i told my onc and said that hubby had inspected me ‘down there’ (much to her amusement) and he says the skin looks bright red and very thin like tissue paper. Just when you thought it couldnt get any worse eh.LOL
So she gave me a course of something called Colpotrophine. She said even though my cancer was progesteron receptive it doesnt matter when its down there because it doesnt go into the blood stream and is perfectly safe for me to use.
I had to use it once a night for a month and then just twice a week to maintain.
WOW - ladies i am back to functioning. Absolutly NO DISCOMFORT, it seems to have thickened the skin and works a treat.
I thought that at the age of 49 the thought of never having sex again was crazy BUT its sorted.
It hasnt done anything for my drive but now once i have started theres no stopping me.!!!
I just want to add that i tried replens etc but did absolutly nothing for me so it must have been a skin thinning problem or a lubricant would have worked i suppose.
well I am delighted that you’ve managed to resolve the situation … sounds like you’ve had a bit of a kick start… now just remember that your poor hubby needs a wee rest in between, he is after all only a man.
When my Mum heard that I’ll be going trough menopause early she gave me some stuff called V-Gel. It’s all natural etc. Haven’t needed it yet but it’s there just in case. So glad that’s worked for you pineapple, there’s not much that worse than discomfort in that region as far as I know (and if there is I don’t want to know yet

I use Sylk…doesn’t do anything for sex drive…[what is that by the way ??? lol]…but has certainly helped with the discomfort side.

LOL - I use Sylk as well and cant recommend it enough!!! (My hubby thinks its his Birthday and Christmas together!!)
I dont think that anything will bring my sex drive back!!!
Anyway, Sylk is now available on prescription!!! Whoopee!!!

I must admit that though it bothers me, and I’ve mentioned it on here before, I have done nothing about my zero sex drive as been trying to get the aches n pains sorted (Arimidex) Now I’m on Tamoxifen and yes put on the extra weight and yes, still no sex drive. My symptoms are the same as Pinapples so may look into this stuff, (also tried replens) poor hubby needs a bit, it might put a smile on his face! Cheers for sharing good news.

Irene its horrible isnt it. Its wasnt discomfort it was bloody agony! and sex was completely impossible.I was concerned when my gp said i needed this stuff because he said as it contains hormones he was not permitted to write me a script without my oncs permission. So he wrote me a letter to give onc at my next visit and she said yes its a very good treatment and its safe because the hormones dont cross over into the blood when down there or something like that. Anyway, she said it was completely safe for me. So, happy days!
