Hello there
I have noticed that some people have been arranging get together’s in areas local to where they live. So far the ones I have seen have been too far to me to travel to.
I live near Preston (lancashire) and I think it would be a good idea to perhaps arrange a local meeting just so that we could put faces to names and encourage and support each other through this terrible time in our lives.
Please let me know if you think this is do-able. Heck! if we can battle cancer I am sure we could arrange a little gathering?

I am very close to you as I am closer to Leyland than Preston. I am more than half way through my neo-adjuvant chemo, then I will have the mx, then Rads.
Hopefully some others will add onto the thread but even if they don’t there are two of us now!

I’m near Warrington so a bit further south than you but only 30 minutues on the M6 so yes it would be lovely to meet up with people in the north west.
I was diagnosed in August and so far I have had a WLE and MX and now waiting to start chemo but having some fertility treatment first. Get the results following my MX on Thursday but still waiting to see the oncologist.

Just picked up this thread. I live in Swinton so Flutterby, and of course any of the other ladies, if you’d like to get together, that would be great.
Not sure whether you’ve seen the Christmas thread for a Manchester gathering, but if you’re interested let me know. Alternatively, just drop me a mail and I’m happy to meet up. I finished my chemo at the end of May and am considered a ‘younger’ lady at 42…

I’m up for a meet ST and we’re fairly near each other as you know (hope you’re still doing ok), I’m in Preston but currently on Rads every afternoon for next 3 weeks and the parking is totally atrocious outside Rads dept - took 20 mins waiting for a space today (can’t walk that far at the mo) and most of car park is blocked off for some roadworks/building or something - not good when appt is slap bang in middle of visiting hours also - need to change a few to outside of visiting hours - hope they can accomodate…
I’ve had mx, chemo, still having herceptin, just started Rads 2/15 done and also started Tamoxifen today - it’s all go…

I can’t do the Christmas comedy store as it is smack bang in my bad chemo week. I am guessing that it would be rather difficult fitting in around everyone’s treatments!
If we were to plan a Christmas thing then my good week begins on the 8th of December - or we could do earlier from November 17th. But those are just my available days!
I’ve started something now that I don’t know how to finish! help! (LOL)
Ah good point Supertrouper, I haven’t seen the oncologist yet so I am not sure whether this will fall in a good week for me or not. I will have to see when I have a plan
