I’ve been referred to breast clinic (appointment is next week) as I went to my gp with a change in my left breast, she said she didn’t think it was anything but had to refer me anyway… I sort of feel like I’m wasting their time now! What I’ve got isn’t quite a lump but more like a gristly area that feels a bit different from the rest of my breast, you can only really feel it when I’m lying down too, is cancer always a defined lump? I will of course still go to my appointment but just wanted some advice on here too, thank you in advance x

You will not be wasting anyones time, any changes in the breast should be checked out if only for your own peace of mind and it is only correct that your GP refers you. There are a lot of breast conditions it can be and does not necessarily mean that it is cancer.
Let us know how you get on.
